SafariNow is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Tester for their QA department. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Developing, implementing, maintaining and enhancing test plans, test scripts and test methodologies that ensure comprehensive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
• Testing all aspects of new feature development for SafariNow’s web-based application.
• Identify and analyse defects/test results and be able to deduce the chain of events leading to a failure.
• Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
• Write and maintain a library of automated browser tests using Telerik Test Studio.
• Work closely with the other members of the development team and review the designs of systems, implement test plans, and test the quality of software products.
• Mentoring and managing a junior QA tester.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements for the Senior Software tester role:
• 5+ years of formal QA software testing
• 5+ years of manual testing
• 5+ years of testing web applications
• Solid exposure to automated testing tools (Selenium, Test Studio)
• Strong experience with functional, regression and user Acceptance testing
Very desirable:
• SQL knowledge – an understanding of SQL and relational database principles (SQL, MySQL, DB2, etc.)
• Ability to inspect and understand HTML, CSS and Javascript
